Hello all,
My name is Brittany and I am also a Junior at Grand Valley. I am so very excited to be going to the Netherlands. Its funny because my brother is in Amsterdam right now for business but will be coming home the day that we head out!! I can't wait to see and experience all this country has to offer. I have been wanting to go over seas for so long and in less then three days its becoming a reality!! I'm not quite sure its sunk in yet. There is still so much to do before I am fully ready to leave like school work, packing... all that good stuff! I also am very excited and a little nervous to hang out with the dutch students because I don't really know much about the dutch culture.
My hope for this trip is that we all can come together as a team and to really get to know each other, as well as putting our difference that we might have aside to really pour out to the dutch students that have never even heard of the Gospel. That is what my hearts desire really is for this trip is to learn how to communicate better with people in post Christian cultures as well as people in general. I have faith to say because we all are stepping out of our comfort zone's, to do Gods will, that He will provide and lead us every step of the way. That is what I am most excited about is to see all that God has in store and the way that God is going to work in our hearts and through us on this trip.
My biggest worry is the plane ride. I am fine with taking off and landing but its the time in between that I just can't rap my mind around how a plane can fly for so long and so high in the sky!! ;) It blows my mind! Thank you for everyone that has been praying for all of us on this missions trip, you are all apart of this team as well. With out you all we wouldn't have gotten this far, so thank you!!!!
